Rafiki Card terms and conditions

Coffee Machines

These Terms and Conditions apply to your Rafiki Card and govern the relationship between Revive Vending Limited and you.

By using your Rafiki Card you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. They are intended to ensure that the Rafiki Card system works effectively and conveniently. Please print a copy for your records and take time to read and understand them.

The Rafiki Card is issued by Revive Vending Limited (Revive) whose registered office is at 1 Scotts Close, Downton Bus. Centre, Salisbury, Wilts, SP5 3RA. The card will remain the property of Revive who reserve the right to cancel its use and demand its return.

Obtaining your Rafiki Card

Rafiki Cards can be obtained at participating Revive vending machines. Your Rafiki Card is issued by, and remains the property of, Revive.

Loading and Topping up your Rafiki Card

You can top up your Rafiki Card with credit at designated Rafiki Card Recharge vending machines using coins only. The maximum credit value you can store on your Rafiki Card at any time is £100.

Using your Rafiki Card

Your Rafiki Card can only be used at participating Rafiki Card locations to purchase individually priced vending items through Revive branded vending machines equipped with card readers. Your Rafiki Card must be swiped for all purchases.

It is not a credit card, charge card or debit card and holders must not attempt to use it for any of these purposes. It cannot be used to obtain cash advances or "cashback".

Expiry

Your Rafiki Card does not have an expiry date. However, should any credit balance remain 2 years (24 months) following last usage, such credit balances will be lost.

Cancellation and redemption

You have the right to cancel your Rafiki Card at any time by returning it to Revive at Rafiki Card, Revive Vending Ltd, 1 Scotts Close, Downton Bus. Centre, Salisbury, Wilts, SP5 3RA.

As a Rafiki Card holder you are also entitled to redeem at any time any unexpired and unused stored value on your Rafiki Card provided:-

  1. the balance on your Rafiki Card is at least £5;
  2. we have no reason to suspect that you are engaged in fraudulent or other criminal activities; and
  3. we are not prohibited from redeeming that stored value by any applicable law, regulation, court order or instruction or guidance of a competent regulatory authority.

Revive will also charge an administration fee of £5.00 for this and reserve the right to vary this charge. However, it is impossible for you to get into debt on your Rafiki Card account.

You cannot obtain redemption of any value stored on your Rafiki Card from Revive vending machines or at the premises at which these machines are located.

To enable us to comply with our legal obligations, we may need to carry out checks to verify your identity before processing a redemption request and we reserve the right to refuse to process any redemption request if you fail to assist with that verification process.

Alternatively you can just run down the balance on your Rafiki Card to £0.00 and then return the card to us at the address given above.

Loss, theft, damage

Your Rafiki Card should be treated like cash in your wallet. If you lose your Rafiki Card or if it is stolen or damaged you may lose any value which is stored on it.

Please take care not to damage your Rafiki Card - it should not be bent, punctured or defaced in any way.

If you have reported a stolen Rafiki Card to the police and have a Crime Reference Number, no charge will be made for a replacement. However, you MUST also report the lost card to Revive without delay in order that we can block it and prevent fraudulent use.

Revive will not be responsible for any losses incurred on lost or stolen cards.

In the event of verified loss, theft, fraud or other unauthorised use of your Rafiki Card, or if your Rafiki Card is damaged or malfunctions, once satisfied that the loss is legitimate, we may, at our sole discretion, replace your Rafiki Card and transfer any credit value stored on it to a replacement card. Circumstances in which we may determine, in our sole discretion, that we will not replace your Rafiki Card include those where we reasonably believe that the notified incident has been caused by your wilful breach of these Terms and Conditions or if there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that you are or have been engaged in fraudulent or other unlawful conduct. Alternatively we may, at our sole discretion, make a redemption payment in respect of any outstanding value stored on your Rafiki Card.

If we agree to replace your Rafiki Card, replacement cards will be posted to your verified home address only. We reserve the right to charge a replacement card fee of £10 for each replacement card at our discretion.

If you subsequently find or retrieve a Rafiki Card, which you have reported lost or stolen, you must notify Revive immediately.

Complaints procedure

Complaints regarding any element of the Rafiki Card service should be sent in writing or by email to: Rafiki Card, Revive Vending Ltd, 1 Scotts Close, Downton Bus. Centre, Salisbury, Wilts, SP5 3RA. or to rafiki@revivevending.com.

Compensation

Value stored on your Rafiki Card is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. We do not offer any other compensation schemes to cover losses claimed in connection with your Rafiki Card.

Data protection and privacy

You may be asked to provide personal information, including your name, address and contact details.

We are committed to maintaining the security of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is kept secure against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or destruction.

Except as required by law, or in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, your personal information will not be passed to any other persons without your permission.

Liability of Revive

Revive shall not be held liable for any default resulting directly or indirectly from inability to accept card payments due to technical problems including, but not limited to, machine breakdown, failure of network services and failure of data processing systems. Revive shall not be held responsible, or deemed to be in breach of service, by being unable to provide any specific vending product or products due to any cause, nor for any services due to force majeure or any other cause beyond Revive’s control. To the extent permitted by law, all conditions or warranties implied by law, statue or otherwise are expressly excluded.

Variation

We reserve the right to amend or waive any provision of these Terms and Conditions from time to time and at any time, or to terminate the Rafiki Card programme on reasonable notice. The Terms and Conditions applicable to the use of a Rafiki Card shall at any time be the terms and conditions published at www.revivevending.com and your continued use of a Rafiki Card shall constitute your acceptance of such terms and conditions.

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the law of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is also subject to the laws and jurisdiction of England and Wales.
